Or you may mail a check to my address (Karen Gage Shaarda) which is on my profile page. The NEHI 70 Reunion account had to be CLOSED due to the fact that the bank it was in, now required a mininum of 20 debit transactions to keep the account free of fees. I checked several banks in the area and all told me the same thing or we had to KEEP a minimum balance of $1000.00 or more.
To date, our paypal account which this site is linked to and where your donations go that are done via the website, is still good and when the time comes for the 50th reunion I can draw it out of paypal. Paypal also collects fees automatically from each transaction which are deducted from the donation amount. The only way there are no fees charged is if you send me a check made out to me and I use my personal checking account or credit card to pay for things for the website and reunion which I am currently doing. I am letting money build up as the 50th reunion is only 3 years away and that time will fly by. We will have to place a deposit with the hotel a year in advance to make sure we have it for our reunion in 2020!
Donations are needed to keep the website running and to pay for supplies and deposits to hold dates with venues, caterers and DJ's for future events.
Venues large enought to hold 200 people or more cost money and they want their money up front. Contracts have to be signed and deposits are non-refundable. To get a large enough venue you have to book at least a year in advance. Even for our 60th B-Day Bash contracts had to be signed with the restaurant, they needed a head count in advance so they can make sure they have enought food and staff on hand to handle the event. Their max amount of people for the room we had was 100. For smaller events like our 45th a place like Fergs and Quaker Steak & Lube are perfect for under 50 people in a reserved room. But they need advance notice also with some sort of head count. They will also do a group order if we want that .....in that case we would have to charge in advance. All monies for food orders in advance include food price, tip, sales tax and a service fee.

This is very important, something you must do every 6 months or you will not receive messages from this website. The committee will be sending out Postcards for the next several years, to let you know you need to come to your profile and update so you receive information about your class. We want everyone to at least receive information even if you don't want to attend anything, at least you know about it. If you do not want to miss information given out, Please sign up and let us know how you can be reached.

We have removed off this site the video montages as the company serving them is going out of business. We have downloaded them to a CD and will give them out at the 45th and 50th reunion.
We are working hard for another great event!
Welcome to the Northeast High Class Of 1970 web site. Our 40 year reunion in July 2010 was a smashing success and we are excited about new events that will be planned leading up to our 45th reunion in March of 2015. Keep watching for news about upcoming events....and until we get together again keep in touch with classmates and friends using this site.
Our 60th Birthday Bash on June 23rd, 2012 was great fun and so many classmates and spouses attended...we had a great time talking, eating and taking pictures...some continued the party at Hooters in Pass-A-Grill and others went to classmates homes to visit. Take a look at the photos under "Photo Albums" Tropical Storm Debby never dampened our Viking Spirit!
We are looking forward to our 50th Reunion on June 6th, 2020!!!!
